With this project, I focused a lot on the “paper cutout” aesthetic. Most of my illustrations have a strong connection with this style. One thing that I focused a lot on was simplicity with the shading on the tree and grass, but also focusing a lot on the drop shadowing with the snake and tree branch. One thing that was a bit of a struggle at first was figuring out the specific font that tied in with the illustration, specifically what color to use to make things connect.
